Summer hair

Summer is almost here and even though it's my endless mission to grow my hair out long, I can't get over all the cute short hair styles I'm seeing lately. Here are a few that have really grabbed my attention. I'm especially in love with Ashlee Simpson's short platinum crop.

Hello my darlings,
I'm so sorry I haven't posted anything in quite some time. I've been having some issues with my laptop and have been so busy with work, settling into my new position as salon leader. Things are going really great and I'm excited to share some new beauty tips and tricks I've pick up recently. Love yourself a little more

Happy Valentines Day my lovelies! Hope you got the chance to take time out of your day to do something extra special for yourself. Whether it was sleeping in, taking a warm bath, eating your favorite food or snack, today is all about loving yourself a little bit more.
Just a FYI I'm spending my Valentines evening with a really special guy (pictured below). I just cooked us dinner and now we plan to snuggle on the sofa and watch a movie (my hubby is working late so Mr. Mookie is my new Valentine). Isn't he cute?!

Sheer Perfection

My all time favorite lip color is called Black Honey by Clinique. I have seriously been wearing this color since high school (I won't say how many years ago that was).  I always try to shop for some alternative shades and brands, while some come close to the perfection of Black Honey none are quite the same. The thing I like most about this shade is that although it appears to be extremely dark, while on your lips it's very sheer and looks as if you were just kissed by a raspberry. It's also very moisturizing and gives an even application, so if your lips are a on the dry side it's got you covered like a warm cozy blanket.  Clinique used to carry the Almost Lipstick collection in many different shades, then discontinued all except Black Honey. Now Clinique has once again expanded the collection including an additional seven shades. All are very beautiful colors but Black Honey will always be my go to lip color.

Romantic inspired hairstyles.

This Valentines day try some of these romantic inspired hairstyles.You can do either loose waves with a messy bun or something a little more polished. Whichever style you choose keep it soft, elegant and simple. Don't forget to add a hair accessory to tie it all together. Have fun and hope you are inspired!

Hairstylist Euphoria

This is one of my hairstylist euphoric moments. Some of you may not know what exactly it is that I'm talking about, and that's okay. For the hairstylist out there you may appreciate and/or have experienced something like this.

As a hairstylist there are days when you do someone's hair and they're pleased with your work yet it sometimes becomes part of the same ole same routine. Same haircut, same color formula, a side bang with layers, not too much off the top, just an inch off the ends, la la la...

Then there are days that you have to work a little harder, think outside the box, create a new formula and put a little more of your heart into your work.  You suddenly feel adventurous and inspired. That's the kind of day I had today. Double dimension blonde lifting to that perfect platinum shade. I love what I do and nothing speaks more clearly then ending with amazing results and seeing an excited smiling face when you take that cape off. Knowing that I did a great job is my reward.  If anyone of you hairstylist out there have a positive experience you want to share, please do.
